My name is Micki, and I have always had a passion for baking...

Each year for our birthdays as kids, my mom let my sister & I look through a Wilton cake design book. We each could pick out whatever cake we wanted for our birthday (within reason...). My mom would work her hardest to make the exact cake we had chosen. I carried this same tradition on with my kids, and no matter how long it took me, I would work & work until each birthday cake turned out to perfection.  

​The idea for The Petite Cakery was born in 2016 when my sister asked me to bake a Rose cake for my first niece's blessing. I received such positive feedback and encouragement from the guests, including a couple who asked if I could make their wedding cake, that I decided it was time to share my passion with people beyond my family and closest friends.
